The Sacramento Chapter of the American Society of Professional Estimators is pleased to announce that Vahid (Ben) Sabati and Art Timm have successfully completed the process required for the Certified Professional Estimator program. Ben and Art were presented their National Certificates at the Chapter meeting on December 4, 2003.
Both Ben and Art are now certified in Estimating Discipline 1.00. They met the experience requirement to enter the program and passed both the 4-hour General Estimating Knowledge Examination and the 8-hour Discipline Specific Examination. As part of the certification process both members wrote technical papers demonstrating their estimating knowledge and communication skills. The subject of Ben’s paper was, "How to Estimate the Cost of Elevated Concrete Slabs," and Art’s covered, "Estimating of CMU Walls."
ASPE Certification is the highest form of professional recognition an individual estimator can receive from the Society. Through it's Certification Program, the American Society of Professional Estimators recognizes the estimating proficiency and ethical awareness of the Certified Professional Estimator (CPE).
Both National and the Chapter are proud of these two members and the work they have done to achieve this plateau in their profession.
